Titans vs Texans

Titans vs Texans Preview, Statistics, Odds, NFL 2018 Week 12 Game

It’s an AFC South battle on Monday night as the Tennessee Titans travel to their old home to face the Houston Texans.

Titans vs Texans Live

The Titans have had as rocky a season as possible so far. After winning three straight to move to 3-1, Tennessee lost three straight games to put themselves at 3-4 going into their bye week.

After the bye, Tennessee won two games in convincing fashion, defeating the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots. But they endured a beatdown against the Indianapolis Colts last week, losing 38-10.

Marcus Mariota hasn’t been spectacular this season, but he hasn’t been bad either. He’s thrown for 1,583 passing yards along with seven touchdowns and six interceptions, which is good for an 88.2 passer rating this season.

Mariota is expected to play after leaving last week’s loss due to an undisclosed injury.

Other big contributors for the Titans offense are Dion Lewis and Corey Davis. Lewis leads the team in rushing with 420 rushing yards while Davis leads the team in receiving with 606 receiving yards.

As for the Texans, they’ve been one of the league’s hottest teams. After starting the year off 0-3, the Texans have reeled off seven straight wins to sit atop the AFC South at 7-3.

Deshaun Watson hasn’t been a victim of the sophomore slump. He’s thrown 2,597 passing yards along with 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions, which is good for a 98.6 passer rating.

While Watson’s season has been impressive, DeAndre Hopkins’ has been even better. Hopkins is eighth in the league in receiving yards (950) and is tied for fifth in touchdown receptions (8).

The Titans are one of the three teams that Houston has lost to this season. Tennessee defeated the Texans, 20-17, in Week 2. Not only are the Texans looking for revenge, but they’ll also look to honor their own Bob McNair, who passed away on Friday.

Titans vs. Texans head-to-head stats

  • Monday night’s matchup features one of the league’s best receivers going against one of the league’s best secondaries. DeAndre Hopkins ranks ninth in receiving yards with 950. The Titans defensive backs present a challenge though as they allow 234.9 passing yards per game, which is the ninth-best in the league.
  • Not many other quarterbacks have been hit more than Deshaun Watson. He has been sacked 33 times this season, which is the fifth-highest in the league. Luckily for them, the Titans have problems getting to the quarterback. Tennessee is tied for 24th in sacks this season with 23.
  • This matchup favors the Texans pass defense in a big way. Tennessee ranks 30th in passing yards per game with just 184 passing yards per game. Houston’s pass defense is the eighth best as it allows an average of 235 passing yards per game.
  • The Titans may have trouble moving the ball in both facets as Houston’s run defense is the sixth-best in the league, allowing only 96 rushing yards per game. The Titans have an average ground game, rushing for 111.7 yards per game, good for the 15th-best in the league.

Titans vs. Texans betting odds

Houston is 6.5-point favorites at home. The over/under is set at 41.5 points.

Steelers vs Broncos

Steelers vs Broncos – How to watch Steelers vs. Broncos in Week 12: Time, TV Schedule and game information, We’ve got all the information you need to know to keep up with the action from the Pittsburgh Steelers’ clash with the Denver Broncos on Sunday,

Watch Steelers vs Broncos Live

Regardless of their 4-6 record, the Denver Broncos represent a significant challenge for the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12. While many fans will have fond memories of the Steelers AFC Championship victory at Mile High in 2006, trips to that stadium have generally not gone well for Pittsburgh as of late and Mike Tomlin is 1-4 in his five visits to Denver since 2007.

The Broncos might not have the talents of Peyton Manning under center anymore, but they still possess one of the league’s better defenses thanks to players like Von Miller and his impressive rookie teammate Bradley Chubb. After a surprising road victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11, Denver still has hope that postseason football remains a possibility for them in 2018 and Pittsburgh should be prepared for a team fighting for their playoff lives on Sunday.

Given the strength of the Steelers schedule over the last three weeks of the season, they cannot afford to drop games like this if want they a bye during wildcard weekend. However, should their offense score over 28 points against the Broncos, it should be good enough for the win considering Denver has only scored more 27 points once this season.

Injuries:

The Steelers look likely to be forced to play without Marcus Gilbert for the fifth game in a row due to a knee injury, while Stephon Tuitt is in danger of missing his second game of the year on Sunday because of an elbow issue.

Dolphins vs Colts

Dolphins vs Colts : Can the Indianapolis Colts continue their win streak on Sunday when they play host to the Miami Dolphins at 4:25PM ET? According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Colts are favored at home in this game, as they are getting odds of -7.5 points against the Dolphins. The over/under total for the contest is currently listed at 51 points. The public betting for this game currently has 51 percent going on the Dolphins on the road.

Dolphins vs Colts Live

The Miami Dolphins suffered their third loss in four games, as they fell 31-12 at Green Bay two weeks ago before going on the bye week. The Dolphins are now 5-5 overall, 5-5 against the spread and 5-5 with the over/under total. Miami is also 1-3 ATS in its last four.

Miami is not performing well on offense this year, averaging just 19.9 points and 313.6 yards per game. Brock Osweiler has thrown for 1,247 yards with six touchdowns and four interceptions this year while Frank Gore has 528 rushing yards. Danny Amendola is the leading receiver with 47 catches for 456 yards and a score. Defensively, Miami is allowing 25.6 points and 391.6 yards per contest. Their run defense ranks 29th in the NFL, allowing 141.3 yards per game.

The Indianapolis Colts are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now, winning four straight after a 38-10 victory over the Titans last week. Indy is now 5-5 overall, 5-4-1 against the spread and 6-4 with the over. The Colts are 3-0-1 ATS in this win streak.

The Colts are really heating up on offense, as they have scored 37 or more in three of their last four. On the year, they are averaging 29.8 per game while putting up 381.5 yards per contest. Andrew Luck has thrown for 2,769 yards and 29 touchdowns with just nine interceptions. He has spread the ball out well. T.Y. Hilton is the leading receiver with 38 catches for 585 yards and six scores. Marlon Mack is the leading rusher with 471 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Indy is allowing 24.9 points and 364.9 yards per game. Their pass defense is 23rd in the NFL, allowing 259.2 yards per contest.

After a much-needed bye week, the Miami Dolphins will return to the field this Sunday to take on the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Both the Dolphins and Colts sit at 5-5 as they’re tied for the final wild-card spot in the AFC. A win would have the Dolphins sitting pretty entering their last five games of the season. A loss would significantly damage their postseason aspirations.

Ryan Tannehill will return after missing the last five weeks due to a capsule injury in his throwing shoulder. Although he was limited during this week’s practice, Tannehill will start on Sunday.

The Dolphins will hope Tannehill’s return will be the missing key for their offense. Miami’s offense hasn’t scored an offensive touchdown since their game against the Texans on Oct. 25.

The biggest factor on Sunday could be if the Dolphins can slow down Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. During the Colts last seven games, Luck has thrown at least three touchdowns passes as the team has won their last four games. The Dolphins will also need to slow down the Colts rushing attack as their defensive unit is allowing 142 yards on the ground per game.

Cardinals vs Chargers

Chargers vs Cardinals Live: The Los Angeles Chargers meet the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, November 25 in 2018 NFL preseason Week 12. Here’s all the info you need to watch the game.

Cardinals vs Chargers Live

The Arizona Cardinals and the LA Chargers are two teams that find themselves in very strange positions. On one hand, Arizona is in a period of changeover with the in-tune departure of Bruce Arians and Carson Palmer this off-season. In the meantime, Los Angeles has the makings of a team that could go on a run at a championship this season. As such, it’s a fun fight of condition in Week 1 of the 2018 NFL preseason.

Chargers vs Cardinals Live | NFL Football Game On 4K | TV Channel HD

And above all else, we know there’s no reason to see any of these things when the Chargers start their four-game preseason schedule against the Arizona Cardinals at 7 p.m. Saturday in Arizona.

Anthony Lynn and the rest of the Chargers coaches know what their stars can do, too, and they’re just as uninterested in seeing them on the field Saturday.

The reason to watch preseason games — outside of nervously pacing until your favorite players have safely exited the field — is to look at the edges of the roster for players who could contribute in the future.

Last year, running back Austin Ekeler broke out in games three and four of the preseason, playing his way onto the roster and eventually becoming a key part of the offense.

This year, the Chargers have other candidates who could end up being impact players. Here are some to watch against the Cardinals:

Cardale Jones, If Rivers plays at all — and if he does, it’ll likely be only one series — Geno Smith and Jones still will do the bulk of the quarterback work as the battle for No. 2 continues.

It feels as if Smith, the more experienced of the two, has the edge because the Chargers know what it looks like when he leads a team.

Jones, however, has the physical gifts to win the job if he looks comfortable in game situations.

He’s got a massive arm that can rocket the ball over the field. Problem is, the ball can fly all over the field. If he can get into a rhythm and be accurate, Jones can start to build his resume.

Isaac Rochell, Offseason workouts are a tough time to stand out, especially if you play along the offensive or defensive line. However, a trimmed-down Rochell, a seventh-round pick a season ago, was impossible to miss.

Switching to a plant-based diet, Rochell comes into his second season leaner and faster, capable of playing defensive end and defensive tackle.

With Bosa likely watching because of a foot injury, Rochell will get a lot of reps with the first- and second-string defense — a chance to put all his offseason work and salad eating to work.

Kyzir White, One of the “buzziest” names in the first two weeks of training camp, it’ll be interesting to see how White handles linebacking in a game setting after playing safety in college.

The Chargers’ fourth-round pick has the size and speed necessary to help add depth, and maybe even start, at linebacker. It’s just that no one is sure if the projections will come to fruition.

He has impressed coaches through the first part of training camp, but Saturday we’ll see if it translates into game situations.

Artavis Scott, Some of the flashiest catches in offseason workouts and at the start of camp have been made by Scott, a college teammate of last year’s first-round pick, Mike Williams.

Scott, who spent all of last season on the practice squad, is a strong receiver with a knack for making spectacular catches in tight coverage, though he’s had some issues with drops on easier opportunities.

Michael Davis, An undrafted free agent last season, Davis made the team thanks to a combination of size and speed despite being beaten badly in some preseason games.

Now with Trevor Williams nursing a sore ankle, Davis is getting a chance to play with the top unit on defense and, so far in practice, he’s been much more consistent.

49ers vs Buccaneers

49ers vs Buccaneers : Musical chairs at the quarterback position in Tampa Bay has changed once again as Jameis Winston will get his second tenure in the starting spot. He should have a chance to succeed against the San Francisco 49ers at home, a game they are favored to win.

Fubo TV includes Fox and many other sports channels, also offers three days of auto recording via its 72-Hour Lookback feature, and 50 hours of Cloud DVR service as an added bonus.

Another way to watch the Bucs 49ers game live stream without cable is with Hulu with Live TV where Fox, Fox Sports 1 and other popular channel feeds are found, with some exceptions depending on exactly where you live. Hulu Live TV also offers cloud DVR recording and a host of other popular channels.

Cable and satellite subscribers can watch the San Francisco and Tampa Bay game live stream at Fox Sports Go by logging in with their provider credentials.

Tampa Bay (3-7) is back on the Winston train and he spelled Fitzpatrick last week and scored touchdowns on four consecutive drives. The Bucs still lost by a field goal, but Winston showed enough poise — and lack of turnovers — to win back the starting job.

The quarterback situation is a little dicier in San Francisco (2-8). Jimmy Garoppolo is out for the year with a torn ACL and bakup C.J. Beathard went down with a concussion in Week 8.

Enter third-stringer Nick Mullens last week, an undrafted free agent who looked like a veteran as the 49ers destroyed the Raiders 34-3. In his next game before the bye, he threw one touchdown and two interceptions in a loss to the Giants.

With Tampa Bay’s suspect secondary, look for Mullens to be aggressive throwing the ball down the field like he was against the Raiders.

Nobody expected the Eagles to be in a must-win position against a three-win team at home in Week 12 before December, but here they are. With a loss, the Eagles would fall into last place in the NFC East. Should the Dallas Cowboys beat the Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving, the Eagles would be just two games out of first place, as would the Giants, but there would still be a lot of ground to make up to get there with only five games remaining and a depleted secondary which has bled yards to the Cowboys and New Orleans Saints the past two weeks.

These two teams met once already this season, as the Eagles handily defeated Big Blue in the meadowlands 34-13 back in October. Following consecutive wins, Giants head coach Pat Shurmur believes his team is mentally in a different place since their first encounter with the Eagles, and have finally figured some things out on offense.

That “thing” is the offensive line. Since a slight retooling, Big Blue has effectively kept Eli Manning upright and rookie Saquon Barkley churning. Barkley has totaled over 100 yards in all but one game this season, and Manning completed 17 of 18 pass attempts against the Buccaneers last week.

Patriots vs Jets

Patriots vs Jets ; Both the New England Patriots (7-3) and New York Jets (3-7) were on bye in Week 11. The Patriots look to take one giant step toward wrapping up another AFC East division championship at MetLife Stadium as Week 12 action continues on Sunday.

For the Patriots, getting back to full health is the team’s top priority as of now. Luckily, the AFC East isn’t very good again, meaning New England can afford to ease key players, especially on offense, back onto the field before preparing for another January.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski is listed on the injury report as questionable with recurring ankle and back injuries, but is expected to play against the Jets. Running back Sony Michel (knee) was limited in practice all week, but like Gronk, he is expected to play against the Jets, although each may get more limited snaps.

Heading into the bye, there were more rumors swirling about the potential future of Jets head coach Todd Bowles. After a 10-6 season in Bowles’ first season as head coach in 2015, he has finished 5-11 in each of the past two seasons, and is heading to another disappointing finish under .500 this season leading Gang Green.

The Jets will once again be without 21-year old starting rookie quarterback Sam Darnold. Darnold ditched his walking boot during the bye week following new York’s dreary 41-10 loss against the lowly Buffalo Bills in Week 10, but his right foot strain is still not 100% properly healed, meaning he will miss Sunday and possibly next week as well.

Darnold was feeling better last week, and remaining positive.

“The foot is really good, I feel really good. Like I said last week, just following protocol right now but it feels really good. I’ve been walking around on it fine. It’s just stable progressions throughout the week I think.”

When Darnold returns, he won’t be expected to carry the Jets into the playoffs, but will need to improve his ball security down the stretch. Despite missing two games, Darnold is likely still going to remain atop the NFL in interceptions with 14.

Browns vs Bengals

Browns vs Bengals : The Steelers and Ravens get the headlines for dominating the Browns. The Bengals, however, have been the AFC North team that has most owned this team since the last time they were competitive.

Watch Browns vs Bengals Live

Since the Browns beat the Bengals, 24-3, on Nov. 6, 2014, it has been all Cincinnati in this matchup. The Bengals have won seven consecutive games, averaging 30.4 points. The Browns have averaged just 9.4 points in that span, have cracked double digits just four times and scored more than 10 points just twice.

Their closest game in that span was a 23-10 loss and the Bengals jumped out to a 20-0 lead before halftime. The closest the Browns came to winning was probably last season in Cincinnati when the Browns managed to pull within a score with 6:57 left in the fourth.

This is not the same Browns, though, and it’s not the same Bengals. Cincinnati is a team headed in the wrong direction, having lost four out of five, and their defense is a mess. The Browns are coming off of a bye preceded by a win against Atlanta. New offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens has shown the ability to use the Browns’ weapons to exploit opposing defenses.

The Browns get the Bengals twice over their last six games. They’ll change their fortunes against Cincinnati this week.

Sharp bettors took a big bite out of an otherwise low-profile NFL game, and that seems to be just fine with some oddsmakers. Covers checks in on that matchup and three others on the Week 12 Sunday docket, with insights from Eric Osterman, manager at The SuperBook at Westgate in Las Vegas.

It’s well-documented that Cleveland has been much maligned the past couple of years, but the squad is coming off a good win, followed by a bye week. The Browns (3-6-1 SU, 6-4 ATS), who fired coach Hue Jackson last month, dumped Atlanta 28-16 as 5.5-point home underdogs in Week 10, then got to rest in Week 11.

Cincinnati seemed to be firing on all cylinders at 4-1 SU and ATS through five weeks, but it’s been much bumpier sledding since then. The Bengals (5-5 SU and ATS) lost four of their last five, including a 24-21 setback at Baltimore as 6.5-point pups in Week 11.

“This game has actually seen quite a big line move,” Osterman said, noting that on Saturday alone, the number dropped from Bengals -2.5 to pick for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff. “This is one of those classic Pros vs. Joes games. A lot of sharps who have come here love the Browns, and we have large liability on the Bengals from the public. We had a house player lay -3 (-120) on Cincinnati early in the week.

“The need is what we want. We need the Browns pretty big, and that’s fine with us.”

New England has had two weeks to stew over a stunning blowout loss. The Patriots (7-3 SU, 6-4 ATS) went to Tennessee as 6.5-point road favorites and left with a 34-10 loss, halting a six-game win streak (5-1 ATS).

New York might be just the cure for the Patriots, as Todd Bowles’ squad will be without starting quarterback Sam Darnold (foot). The Jets (3-7 SU and ATS), who will start Josh McCown, have dumped four in a row SU and ATS, including 41-10 drubbing as 7-point ‘dogs at Buffalo in Week 10, before a bye in Week 11.

“As of now, that’s gonna be our biggest decision. We need the Jets to cover,” Osterman said of another 1 p.m. ET start. “Straight bets and parlays are all running to the Patriots. There’s not too much on Patriots moneyline yet, but I’d expect more by kickoff. Moneyline parlays are a favorite of our crowd.”

Carolina was 6-2 SU through eight games, then dropped two in a row on the road. In Week 11, the Panthers (6-4 SU, 5-5 ATS) fell to Detroit 20-19 laying 4 points.

Seattle is trying to remain at least on the fringe of the NFC playoff picture. The Seahawks (5-5 SU, 5-3-2 ATS) didn’t lead often in the Week 11 Thursday nighter against Green Bay, but were in front when it mattered most, winning 27-24 to push as 3-point home favorites.

“It looks like mostly Seahawks support on this one,” Osterman said, adding sharp play helped tighten the number for this 1 p.m. ET meeting. “Money came in on the Seahawks at +3.5.”

Green Bay is in must-win territory after losing three of its last four games. The Packers (4-5-1 SU and ATS) went off as 3-point underdogs at Seattle in the Week 11 Thursday nighter and led much of the way, but couldn’t finish in a 27-24 defeat.

Minnesota is playing in the Sunday night spotlight for the second straight week, after missing a chance to take over first place in the NFC North last week. The Vikings (5-4-1 SU and ATS) fell short at Chicago 25-20 catching 2.5 points.

“We opened Minnesota -4.5 and quickly moved down,” Osterman said of the 8:20 p.m. ET matchup. “There has been some sharp money on the Packers, even at +3.5. People are pretty down on the Vikings. If they lose, they’re in danger of missing the playoffs, which I don’t think anybody expected after last year. So bettors are coming in on the Packers, and we are gonna need the Vikings.

A two-game losing streak has pushed the Panthers (6-4) further away from the division leading Saints. Barring a New Orleans collapse they’re now chasing a Wild Card spot, and given the competitiveness in the NFC for those spots, there aren’t many more losses left to absorb.

Last week’s 20-19 loss to Detroit was especially painful as they had just gotten blown out by the Steelers and needed that rebound win. Instead they went for a two-point conversion for the late win instead of tie and failed to convert.

Seattle (5-5) got a huge win over Green Bay by a field goal to snap their own two-game losing streak. Their defense has been stepping up more each week against top quarterbacks, so they’ll need to be focused again against Cam Newton.

The Seahawks lead the NFL in rushing at 154.3 yards per game. The longer they can keep Cam off the field, the better their odds of winning.
